Job summary

Columbia Forest Products in Newport, VT is seeking a skilled Millwright/Maintenance Mechanic for the 2nd shift (5pm–5am) on a full-time basis. A $2,000 sign-on bonus is offered as part of the package.

You will maintain, repair and service plant equipment such as dryers, lathes and conveyors, follow detailed instructions, and use PPE in a fast-paced manufacturing setting with moving machinery and forklift traffic. A high school education or better and solid problem-solving skills are required.

We are looking for skilled and dedicated individuals to join our team on a4-days-on, 4-days-off work schedule. This position involves performing a variety of maintenance, repair, and service tasks for plant equipment, including:

• Machinery: Dryers, lathes, clippers, splicers, saws, and mobile equipment.
• Supply Systems: Gas, electric, water, air, waste disposal, and conveyor systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Follow detailed written and verbal job instructions to ensure smooth operations.
