The ideal candidate has a journeyman credential, 5+ years of experience, and strong problem-solving skills to support outages, upgrades, and routine maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certified Millwright credential (journeyman level or equivalent) required.
• 5+ years of industrial mechanical experience.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and precision measurement instruments.
• Knowledge of rigging practices and load calculations.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Install, assemble, align, and dismantle industrial machinery and mechanical systems.
• Perform precision alignment of motors, pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, and rotating equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical issues and perform corrective and preventive maintenance.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Perform rigging, hoisting, and lifting operations using cranes, forklifts, and other equipment.
• Measure, layout, and verify tolerances using precision tools (dial indicators, micrometers, laser alignment).
• Perform bearing installation, shaft alignment, and coupling installation.
• Conduct equipment inspections and document maintenance activities.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company policies, and safety procedures.
• Work collaboratively with electricians, welders, operators, and engineers.
• Support equipment upgrades, outages, shutdowns, and turnarounds.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in safe working condition.

• Experience with laser alignment systems and vibration analysis

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

• Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, kneel, and work in confined spaces

• Ability to wear required PPE for extended periods

• Ability to work in industrial environments and varying weather conditions
