Job summary

IKO Industries Ltd. is seeking a Millwright Journeyman at its Bismarck, Missouri plant. The role focuses on installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing granule manufacturing equipment while ensuring safe, compliant operation.

You will read mechanical drawings and use CMMS (Maximo) for work orders, with a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork in a manufacturing setting. Minimum five years of maintenance experience preferred.

Job Summary

TheMillwright Journeymanis responsible forinstalling,maintaining,troubleshooting, monitoring, adjusting, and repairingmanufacturing equipment and machinery throughout thegranule manufacturingplant.This role ensures the safe and reliable operation of plant machinery,crushing and coloring equipment,and conveying equipmentwhilemaintainingcompliance with safety and regulatory requirements. This role will reportto the Maintenance Supervisor.

Job Responsibilities
  • Maintaining smooth operation of machinery and mechanical equipment.
  • Troubleshooting specific industrial equipment by using precise measuring and testing instruments.
  • Dismantling andreassemblingequipment using hand and power tools.
  • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on production equipment.
  • Readingand interpretingmechanical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Inspecting and assessingthe remaininguseful life ofwear components.
  • Fabricating repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
  • Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and other safety protocols.
  • UtilizingMaximocomputerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
  • Ensure compliance with MSHA and company safety standards.
  • Maintaining a safe and clean working environment bycomplying withcompany procedures, rules, and standards.
  • Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and other safety protocols.
  • Maintainaccuratemaintenance records, work orders, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with operators, production personnel, and maintenance team members to resolve equipment issues.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience working in andmaintaininga safe work environment with intimate knowledge of LOTO procedures or other relevant safety practices
  • Minimum of five years maintenance experience in manufacturing environment
  • Experience welding, fabricating,and installing mechanical equipment
  • Excellent working knowledge ofappropriate useof hand tools and maintenance equipment
  • Strong knowledge ofmechanical lubrication,coupling, alignment,andwear components
  • Ability to read and understand detailed repair & instruction manuals
  • Must be able to learn computer-based maintenance software (Maximo knowledge is a plus)
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to lead, guide, and mentor junior millwrights
  • Possess superior analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential
  • Ability to manage time effectively while handling multiple jobs with varying priorities
  • Must be able to work in a team setting withothertradesman
  • Rotatingshift, holidays, and overtime may berequired.
  • Must wearrequiredpersonal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Ability tolift upto 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in industrial environments including exposure to dust, noise, heat, and moving equipment.
  • Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and enter confined spaces asrequired.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
