Job summary

CAM Industrial Solutions in Houston seeks a Millwright Level III to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and align industrial machinery, ensuring safe, reliable plant operation and maximizing equipment performance.

You will read blueprints, level bases, align pumps and motors, perform preventive maintenance, and work with production and maintenance teams to minimize downtime in a fast-paced environment. A strong mechanical aptitude and NCCER certification are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years industrial construction/maintenance experience.
• NCCER Certified Plus - Required.
• Knowledge of reverse alignment and various mechanical components such as bearings, seals, pumps, gearboxes, and turbines.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints, layouts, diagrams, and technical manuals to determine installation, maintenance, and repair procedures.
• Level and align pump bases, motors, gearboxes, and rotating equipment.
• Level and align compressors, turbines, paper machines, centrifuges, and pumps.
• Set impeller clearances and adjust fan blades as required.
• Measure and verify precision fits using precision measuring instruments.
• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial machinery and mechanical equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance on motors, pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, and other systems.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment for maintenance work.
• Remove and install valves, perform light piping work as needed.
• Conduct basic mechanical troubleshooting and support maintenance activities in process areas.
• Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with plant policies and safety protocols.
