Purpose
Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair manufacturing and facilities equipment to ensure efficient and safe production.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair machinery (e.g., conveyors, pumps, compressors).
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Dismantle, move, and reassemble equipment.
- Perform regular inspections and preventative maintenance.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues.
- Conduct rigging, lifting, and precision alignment.
- Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
- Keep detailed maintenance records.
- Assist in the installation and testing of new machinery.
- Train junior staff and suggest process improvements.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Journeyman license preferred.
- 3+ years of mechanical experience.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
- Effective communication skills.
- Willingness to work on‑call/shifts, overtime, and weekends.
- Physical strength to handle heavy equipment.
- Knowledge of schematics and ‘Lock out Tag Out’ principles.
