Job summary

Highland Pellets is seeking a skilled Millwright/Industrial Mechanic to execute maintenance schedules, troubleshoot equipment, and read blueprints. The role requires hydraulics and lubrication knowledge, strong mechanical aptitude, and adherence to safety policies.

You will document work, improve reliability, and participate in root cause analyses and 5S projects. Night/weekend shifts and lifting 50 lbs may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years relevant work experience as a Millwright/Industrial Mechanic.
• One year of In Plant Manufacturing Experience.
• Ability to work Independently and Utilize Critical Problem Solving and Decision-Making skills to Generate and Implement Solutions throughout the Process.
• Must maintain Compliance within all LOTO, Confined Space, Hot Work, Working at Heights Policies.
• OSHA 10 Training and Experience.
• Experience of MiG and stick welding.
• Exceptional Mechanical aptitude and willingness to assist in all tasks, jobs, and repairs.
• Ability to work extended hours to includes nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to work at heights in excess of 80 feet, use man lifts, and work in confined spaces.
• Ability to work outdoors, rotating shifts, and lift 50 pounds required.

• Ensure all work is performed in a timely and safe manner.
• Maintain all equipment, tools, and workstations.
• Ability to utilize skills to Improve equipment Optimization and Reliability.
• Maintain logs, and record labor, materials and equipment used.
• Effectively Communicate to all Team Members and Management any equipment deficiencies.
• Meticulous Attention to detail; able to follow instruction both written and verbal.
• Participate in Breakdown Analysis, Root Cause Analysis, Focused Improvement, and 5S projects.
• Ensure workers adhere to Local, State and Federal Codes and Regulations.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
