Job summary

Zekelman Industries in Niles, Ohio, is seeking a skilled Millwright to support plant operations with mechanical and hydraulic maintenance across equipment and systems. You will perform repairs, preventive tasks, and fabrications to ensure uptime and safety.

The role requires hands-on problem solving, adherence to OSHA standards, and the ability to work rotating shifts including weekends. A high school diploma and relevant trade training are needed; welding certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in an industrial environment performing mechanical and hydraulic maintenance.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Trade or technical school diploma preferred (including welding, hydraulics, blueprint reading, mechanical training).
• Certified Welder (3G Plate and other certifications preferred).
• Proficient in mechanical and hydraulic system troubleshooting.
• Strong fabrication, welding, and cutting skills.
• Computer literate and capable of interfacing with maintenance systems.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Performs mechanical and hydraulic maintenance on industrial equipment and systems throughout the plant.
• Troubleshoots mechanical drives and manufacturing equipment to ensure operational uptime.
• Welds, cuts, and fabricates parts for equipment installation and repair.
• Conducts preventive and predictive maintenance to minimize equipment downtime.
• Prepares detailed reports documenting work performed in accordance with company requirements.
• Promotes and adheres to OSHA and company safety procedures including LOTO, Arc Flash, and other regulations.
• Leads safe work practices and maintains a safety-first attitude.
• Works rotating shifts, including weekends and overtime as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Maintains regular, full-time, onsite attendance as an essential job function.

About The Role

Physical Abilities
