Job summary

Zekelman Industries’ Millwright role in Niles, Ohio focuses on keeping plant operations running smoothly through mechanical and hydraulic maintenance, heavy fabrication, and precise welding. Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in industrial environment performing mechanical and hydraulic maintenance.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; trade/technical schooling preferred.
• Certified Welder (3G Plate) or related certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs mechanical and hydraulic maintenance on industrial equipment and systems throughout the plant.
• Troubleshoots mechanical drives and manufacturing equipment to ensure operational uptime.
• Welds, cuts, and fabricates parts for equipment installation and repair.
• Conducts preventive and predictive maintenance to minimize equipment downtime.
• Prepares detailed reports documenting work performed in accordance with company requirements.
• Promotes and adheres to OSHA and company safety procedures including LOTO, Arc Flash, and other regulations.
• Leads safe work practices and maintains a safety-first attitude.
• Works rotating shifts, including weekends and overtime as required.

About the Role

As a Millwright at Zekelman Industries in Niles, Ohio, this role plays a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of mechanical and hydraulic systems critical to plant operations. From equipment repairs to preventative maintenance and fabrication, this position directly supports plant efficiency and uptime. What You’ll Do

• Performs mechanical and hydraulic maintenance on industrial equipment and systems throughout the plant

• Maintains regular, full‑time, onsite attendance as an essential job function

Who You Are

• 5 years of experience in an industrial environment performing mechanical and hydraulic maintenance
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Trade or technical school diploma preferred (including welding, hydraulics, blueprint reading, mechanical training)
• Certified Welder (3G Plate and other certifications preferred)
• Proficient in mechanical and hydraulic system troubleshooting
• Strong fabrication, welding, and cutting skills
• Computer literate and capable of interfacing with maintenance systems
• Detail‑oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
• Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills
• Comfortable working at elevated heights
• Physical Abilities: Must be able to work in physically demanding conditions, including standing for long periods, climbing, lifting, bending, and working in elevated or confined spaces as needed.
