Job summary

Zekelman Industries in Niles, OH is seeking a Millwright to maintain and repair mechanical and hydraulic systems across the plant. The role emphasizes hands-on problem solving, safety, and uptime. You will perform preventive maintenance, weld and fabricate parts, troubleshoot drives, and document work.

A high school diploma and 5 years of industrial experience are required; welding certification is a plus. This is a full-time onsite position with rotating shifts, overtime, and a comprehensive

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in mechanical and hydraulic maintenance.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; trade/technical diploma preferred (including welding, hydraulics, blueprint reading).
• Certified Welder (3G Plate) preferred.
• Proficient in troubleshooting mechanical and hydraulic systems.
• Strong fabrication, welding, and cutting skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs mechanical and hydraulic maintenance on plant equipment.
• Troubleshoots mechanical drives and manufacturing machinery to uptime.
• Welds, cuts, and fabricates parts for installation and repair.
• Conducts preventive and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Prepares reports documenting work per company requirements.
• Adheres to OSHA and safety procedures (LOTO, Arc Flash).
• Maintains a safety-first attitude.
• Works rotating shifts, including weekends and overtime.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Maintains regular onsite attendance.
