Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Industrial Millwright in the United States to perform mechanical and electromechanical maintenance in a fast-paced metals production facility. You will troubleshoot, repair, and optimize equipment such as motors, conveyors, drives, and gearboxes while reading blueprints and ensuring safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Licensed Journeyman Millwright (state-recognized certification required).
• 3+ years of experience in heavy industrial, metals or similar environments.
• Strong mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to diagnose 3-phase motors, conveyors, and mechanical drive systems.
• Experience with preventive/predictive maintenance programs.
• Ability to work multiple shifts as needed; shift preference considered.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and follow established safety/quality procedures.
• Collaborate with production teams to support continuous improvement and equipment optimization.
• Participate in training programs focused on problem-solving, quality processes, and equipment upgrades.

Position Overview

The Journeyman Millwright will perform skilled mechanical and electromechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial machinery and systems in a fast-paced, high-volume metals production environment. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a cross-functional maintenance team.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance on production equipment, including motors, conveyors, drives, gearboxes, hydraulics, and pneumatics


• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair machinery to minimize downtime and ensure consistent production


• Install, align, and maintain mechanical systems, rotating equipment, and material-handling equipment
