Job summary

Daimler Truck North America is seeking a Millwright for our Mount Holly, NC facility. The role involves installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial machinery in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will perform welding/burning operations, fabricate parts, install equipment per drawings, and maintain piping systems while ensuring safety and reliability. Shifts may include second or third, with relocation not provided.

Qualifications

  • Four years minimum maintenance experience or Journeyman card.
  • Knowledge of Industrial maintenance (electrical & mechanical)
  • Able to work second or third shift.
  • Preventive Maintenance Systems and Root Cause Failure Analysis knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair industrial machinery and equipment.
  • Fabricate machine/parts using welding and burning operations.
  • Install motors, machinery and equipment per layouts, blueprints and drawings.
  • Set up and maintain threaded piping systems (air, gas, steam, condensate).
  • Perform preventive maintenance and safety checks on equipment.

While this date reflects our latest plans, it is subject to change, and postings may be extended or removed earlier than expected.We Take Care of Our TeamRequirements:Performs stick and mig welding and burning operations.Fabricates machine and equipment parts using burning and welding operations as well as with equipment such as shears, punch presses, press brakes, drill presses, milling machines, grinders, lathe, etc.Install motors, machinery, and equipment according to layouts, blueprints and drawings.Run threaded piping systems, 2” and smaller.Performs painting operations as directed.Performs mechanical maintenance from workshop orders, preventative work orders as well as from written, drawn and verbal instruction.
