Job summary

Daimler Truck North America in Byesville, OH is seeking a CNC Mill and Lathe Operator to set up and run HAAS, Cincinnati, and other machines, machining small metal components to spec.

The role requires ability to read gauges, follow work instructions, and participate in safety and quality programs. Certification is preferred and six-month certification is allowed after start; high attendance and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

  • HS diploma or GED required; CNC certificate preferred and six-month cert completion window.
  • Experience in manufacturing/automotive environments; ability to read gauges and blueprints.
  • Willingness to work onsite in Byesville, OH and to train for multiple CNC machines.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate HAAS, Cincinnati, and other lathes to mill, punch, and drill parts.
  • Load/unload parts, read gauges, verify specifications and maintain quality.
  • Follow safety procedures, assist continuous improvement, and work overtime as needed.

Machining various components as needed.Load and unload parts into CNC machineryOperate to make parts to specifications and rate Set-up and read gaugesUse of surface tester computerSet-up and touch-offAbility to understand machine codes and adjustments as needed, diagnose quality issues,Operate torque wrenches, air tools, presses, gauges (manual, digital, auto), hoist, pressUse of pallet jack, hoist, other PIV equipmentProperly identify component parts by learning identification numbersAdhere to established work rotation planComplete training matrix for each rotation positionAbility to read and understand Work Station InstructionsOther tasks and/or duties as assignedUse computer systems to access company data associated with the assembly process, utilize drawings, bills of materials and specification sheets in both electronic and hard copyKnowledge You Should BringMust be capable of repetitive hand manipulation, grasping and supporting power toolsMust be able to stand on concrete for entire shift with repetitive bending, stooping, twisting, reaching and lifting up to 50 pounds.
