Job summary

Fluor Corporation seeks a skilled millwright for a 24x7 heavy industry site. You will perform maintenance on pumps, motors, and related equipment, with welding, rigging, and alignment tasks as part of daily duties. Flexibility in hours and availability for call-ins is required.

Ideal candidates have strong precision maintenance knowledge and at least five years of preventive maintenance experience, plus the ability to read complex layouts and equipment specs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 5 years of preventive maintenance experience is required.
• Knowledge of precision maintenance with bearings, couplings, gearboxes, seals, bushings, shrink fits, torque, pumps and rotating equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret building layouts, system drawings and manufacturers’ equipment specifications.
• Knowledge of standard and specialized maintenance practices.

Job Description Summary

Perform millwright job duties in a team environment at a heavy industry work site which operates 24x7. Requires ability to work flexible hours as needed and be available for call-ins as required.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities Include The Following

• Complies with all Fluor Corporation safety requirements and programs.
• Position requires mechanical aptitude to perform technical and general maintenance work on a variety of pumps (i.e. centrifugal, injector, diaphragm, etc.), motors, equipment, systems, air handlers, domestic water, chilled water, hot water, high temperature hot water, steam, humidification, building exhaust fans, air compressors and controls.
• Perform the following duties:
• Welding
• Rigging
• Alignment
• Perform Precision Maintenance with bearings, couplings, gearboxes, seals, bushings, interference fits, torque, pumps, rotating equipment, lubrication, etc.

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or general equivalency degree (GED).
• 5 years of preventive maintenance experience required.
• Must have knowledge of Precision Maintenance with bearings, couplings, gearboxes, seals, bushings, shrink fits, torque, pumps, rotating equipment, lubrication, etc.
• Ability to read and interpret building layouts, system drawings and manufacturers’ equipment specifications.

• Ability to write, read and comprehend instructions, work orders, manuals, short correspondence and memos.
