Canfor Corp. in Mississippi seeks a skilled Millwright to keep sawmill machinery running and safe. You will diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues while supporting continuous uptime and productivity across the facility.

The role emphasizes safety, sustainability and hands-on problem solving within a heavy industry setting. Prior experience in wood products manufacturing and welding is a bonus.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years’ experience in industrial maintenance.
• Superior troubleshooting skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Solid background in heavy industry and construction.
• Bonus: experience in wood products manufacturing; welding procedures and equipment reliability.
• Millwright with critical thinking, problem solving and quick learning.

Responsabilités

• Maintain, repair, install and modify all sawmill related equipment to maximize uptime, quality and productivity.
• Coordinate maintenance activities with the maintenance team to reduce downtime while ensuring safe practices.
• Troubleshoot process maintenance issues.
• Contribute to a positive and innovative work environment.
• Develop and execute preventative maintenance plans to extend machinery lifespan.
