Job summary

Coastal Waste & Recycling is seeking a Plant Technician to maintain buildings, equipment, and grounds at our waste and recycling facility. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, repairs, and basic welding to keep operations safe and running efficiently.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn; hands-on experience preferred.
• One year of mechanical experience, technical training, or equivalent hands-on experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to safely use hand tools and basic shop equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on building systems, machinery, and equipment.
• Inspect and repair belts, bearings, and rollers.
• Assist with maintenance of conveyors and sorting lines.
• Conduct light welding repairs as needed.
• Coordinate with outside contractors for specialized repairs or projects.
