Job summary

ASR Group, a leading refiner and marketer of cane sugar, is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our Crockett refinery. Under the Maintenance Supervisor, you will keep equipment in top running condition and support routine and emergency repairs.

You will perform mechanical troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and collaborate with other maintenance and operations staff. Overtime and weekend shifts are required; PPE is provided; prior unionized environment experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in industrial maintenance or service organization.
• Ability to work overtime, rotating shifts and weekends.
• Ability to wear PPE and maintain safety.

Responsibilities

• Provide maintenance services through the refinery.
• Perform mechanical troubleshooting and repairs.
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance, including troubleshooting, mechanical repairs, rigging, metal fabrication and repairs (welding/burning), pipe installation and repairs, and building crafts work.
• Perform cleaning and lubrication on mechanical equipment.
• Work with other refinery maintenance and operations personnel to handle normal everyday problems.
• Will be assigned to one of the maintenance groups, which include: refinery maintenance, warehouse, pipe/metal, building crafts, garage and raw sugar maintenance.
• Reliable and predictable attendance is required.

OVERVIEW

Works under the direction of Maintenance Supervisor to make sure equipment is in their assigned area is kept in top running condition.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to work overtime, rotating shifts and weekends on a regular basis
• Have a high regard and ownership for personal safety and the safety of others.
• Ability to perform tasks wearing required PPE such as protective clothing, safety glasses/goggles, steel-toed boots, etc.
• Ability to work as part of a team in a unionized environment.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• At least 1yearof experience in industrial maintenance or service organization

PAY RATE

• Hourly rate: $43.04
