Job summary

C&H Sugar in Crockett, CA is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to provide upkeep for packaging equipment. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical, electrical, welding and rigging tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

This role requires 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience, ability to work overtime, weekends and varied shifts, and strict adherence to safety and PPE.

Overview

• Responsible for providing maintenance services through the packaging areas.
• Perform troubleshooting and repairs on packaging and palletizing equipment.
• Perform routine corrective maintenance services, including mechanical, rigging, metal fabrication, welding, cutting, drilling, and basic to intermediate electrical repairs.
• Perform preventative maintenance services, including cleaning and lubrication on mechanical equipment, time-based maintenance, and inspections.
• Collaborate with team members, such as prioritizing critical repairs and performing maintenance in a team based environment.
• Ensures safety and good manufacturing practices are followed.
• Ensures working areas are kept clean during and after repairs are made.

Job Requirements & Essential Functions

• Ability to work overtime, rotating shifts and weekends on a regular basis
• Have a high regard and ownership for personal safety and the safety of others.
• Ability to perform tasks wearing required PPE such as protective clothing, safety glasses/goggles, steel-toed boots, etc.
• Ability to work as part of a team. Effectively communicate within the maintenance team and with operators.
• This position requires the flexibility to work various shifts, including Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, holidays and overtime as needed. Weekend shifts may be mandated based on business needs.
• Positions require standing and walking 8-12+ hours per day, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, ability to grasp, push, and pull.
• Reliable and predictable attendance is required.

Education/Experience Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in industrial, packaging, or manufacturing maintenance.

HOURLY RATE

• $43.14 per hour
