PARR is hiring for a Door Builder to assemble and finish doors in a warehouse setting in the Pacific Northwest. You will verify material quality prior to shipping and move products within the warehouse, using a forklift when needed.

The role requires reading tape measures, lifting heavy objects, and working independently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong safety practices and teamwork.

PARR is the total source for homebuilding supplies, solutions, and services. We focus on supplying building materials and solutions to professional home builders of all sizes including custom builders, large production builders, and multifamily builders. Our customers and community members know that they can rely on us for Legendary Service and quality products. Pay: $22.10-$24.24 hourly

Duties and Responsibilities

• Building doors accurately, safely, and professionally in a fast-paced environment
• Ensuring the quality of material before shipping
• Verify material backorders
• Inform management and purchasing agent of material needs
• Moving product within the warehouse, with a forklift if needed
• Promptly report all accidents/incidents
• Sit as member of the safety committee as requested
• Keep area clean and organized
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Ability to speak, write, and read English required
• Ability to read a tape measure
• Must be able to be mobile in warehouse
• Must be able to move heavy awkward objects in warehouse
• Must be able to operate all machines and tools necessary to complete door orders
• Able to listen to and follow instructions
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to work amidst a busy work environment
• Shoes that are puncture resistant, slip resistant, and made of leather or composite material required
• Interpersonal Skills
• Ability to work cordially, professionally, diplomatically, and with a high level of customer service in a dynamic environment
• Demonstrate sound judgment in dealing with sensitive business matters with internal and external customers of all types
• Ability and willingness to identify processes, tools, and/or procedures that may be improved upon to improve the workplace and outcomes for our customers
• Ability to communicate with all levels of management and employees at a high skill level and speak effectively in front of groups. Communication can include but is not limited to: in-person (verbal and non-verbal), written, e-mail, telephone, and public speaking to medium size groups
• Strong focus, planning, organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage changing priorities, handle multiple projects, and do what is necessary to meet deadlines, while maintaining a high degree of attention to detail and accuracy

Working Conditions

The Millworks Door Builder primarily works in a warehouse environment.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time
• Lift up to 100 pounds, and lift, push or pull 50+ pounds frequently
• Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Local travel may be required
• Ability to utilize all appropriate safety equipment
