Job summary

PARR is seeking a Warehouse Picker to support homebuilding materials distribution in Oregon. The role focuses on accurately picking and packing orders, using RF guns, and maintaining organized warehouse operations while supporting fast delivery to customers.

Ideal candidates will have strong English skills, knowledge of inventory control, and experience operating scanners and PC devices. Paid hourly, with full-time hours and a comprehensive benefits package available.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • OSHA Certified Forklift License preferred
  • Ability to speak, write, and read English required
  • Knowledge of inventory control principles, practices, and protocols
  • Knowledge of items carried in inventory
  • Ability to read and interpret pick tickets
  • Ability to concentrate and attend to detail amidst a busy work environment
  • Must be able to operate personal computer, smartphone, scanner, and any other equipment necessary for the job
  • Shoes that are puncture resistant, slip resistant, and made of leather or composite material required

Responsibilities

Job description

PARR is the total source for homebuilding supplies, solutions, and services. We focus on supplying building materials and solutions to professional home builders of all sizes including custom builders, large production builders, and multifamily builders. Pay: $20.16 - $24.51 The Picker safely and efficiently pulls orders for delivery and keeps warehouse orderly. This position is important because they help ensure our customers receive their orders accurately and in a timely manner. Directly reports to Warehouse Supervisor. Interacts daily with Warehouse Workers and Management.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Pick orders accurately according to pick tickets
  • Use RF gun to locate items and complete orders

Working Conditions
  • The Warehouse Picker primarily works in a warehouse environment pulling orders, replenishing stock, and preparing orders for shipment.
  • Physical Requirements
  • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment subject to temperature conditions for an entire day
  • Must be able to grasp, talk, hear, and operate a computer and keyboard
  • Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds and carry objects 50 feet
  • Must be able to drive a forklift when necessary
  • Must be able to walk up and down stairs as necessary
