Boise Cascade Hatfield Millwork in Hatfield, MA is seeking a Millwork Truck Driver - Class B to deliver doors to customers, load and unload, and maintain logs per DOT regulations.

Qualified applicants have a HS diploma or GED and at least two years of truck driving experience with a valid CDL. The position is full-time with hourly wages $25.35–$28.35 and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED or 2 years equivalent work experience.
• Valid Class A CDL and ability to safely operate transportation equipment.
• Two years of truck driving experience required.
• Working knowledge of DOT regulations and BC driver qualifications.
• Ability to drive in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and distribute finished doors to assigned customers.
• Ensure safe loading, handling, and transportation of undamaged doors.
• Drive to destinations following commercial driving regulations.
• Complete paperwork and relay questions or complaints to supervisor.
• Inspect for defects before and after trips; submit reports.
• Maintain vehicle in safe operating condition; fuel, oil, water.
• Maintain logs and records per DOT regulations (RODS).
• Assist with loading/unloading trucks and building loads.
• Secure cargo for transit.
• Maintain a clean truck.
• Drive light vehicles (<26,000 lbs GVW) to deliver/pick up merchandise.
• May load and unload vehicle.
• Demonstrate commitment to safety, quality, environmental awareness, continuous improvement.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Wage: $25.35- $28.35 hourly starting pay based on experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and distribute finished doors to assigned customers.
• Ensure safe loading, handling, and transportation and delivery of undamaged door units and/or related product.
• Drive truck to destination applying commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle in difficult situations.
• Complete necessary paperwork and relay any customer questions or complaints to supervisor.
• Inspect for any defects or problems that might arise before and after trips and submit reports indicating truck condition.
• Maintain vehicle in safe operating condition including service with fuel, oil, and water.
• Maintain applicable logs and records according to DOT regulations, Record of Duty Status (RODS).
• Assist associates in loading and unloading trucks or building loads as needed.
• Secure cargo for transit.
• Maintain a clean truck.
• Drive a light vehicle, such as a small truck or van, with a capacity of less than 26,000 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW), primarily to deliver or pick up merchandise or to deliver packages.
• May load and unload vehicle.
• Demonstrate strong commitment to safety, quality, environmental awareness, and continuous process improvement.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Basic: HS Diploma, GED or two (2) years equivalent work experience. Must have a valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL) and possess the ability to safely operate transportation equipment (i.e., tractor/trailer combinations). Two (2) years truck driving experience required. Must have working knowledge of DOT regulations and meet BC driver qualifications. Performs duties in all weather conditions.

Preferred: Flatbed experience preferred. Knowledge of building products and forklift experience a plus.
