Job summary

Lowe’s is hiring a Sales Specialist to assist customers in-store with product recommendations, project planning, and upselling Lowe’s services. You’ll become the product expert across departments and help customers achieve home improvement goals through thoughtful guidance.

The role emphasizes strong customer service, sales targets, and collaboration with vendors. Part-time schedule with opportunities for growth and training in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1 year of experience in customer-facing sales or 6 months Lowe’s retail experience (or 3 years of external sales in lieu of education).
• 1 year of sales or customer service experience with goals or metrics.
• Able to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Able to stand and sit for prolonged periods; min 25 lbs lift.
• Sales licensure/registration if required by law (Lowe’s supports and funds this).

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by understanding needs and highlighting Lowe’s products and services.
• Be a point of contact for customers and vendors; provide project estimates, schedule installer visits, process orders, and follow up for completion.
• If in Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales.
• Monitor inventory with vendors to maintain stock and order replacements.
• Perform price reviews according to pricing policies and maintain pricing docs.
• Support checkout functions, paging, and intra-store requests for assistance.
• Train associates on the Sales floor and coach for development needs.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
