Job summary

Boise Cascade is seeking a Millwork Operations Supervisor to lead yard, warehouse, trucking, and safety functions at our Texas facility. You will manage order fulfillment, loading, and on-time delivery while ensuring DOT compliance and cost-effective transportation.

The role emphasizes inventory control, process improvements, and staff coaching to sustain a safe, efficient operation and high service levels. You will report to the Operations leadership and contribute to Total Rewards offerings.

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years in related function.
• Professional certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee yard, warehouse, trucking, maintenance, and safety program.
• Manage order fulfillment, will call, and on-time delivery including product selection, loading, and transportation.
• Resolve problems regarding shipment or delivery and order backlog.
• Manage transportation ensuring DOT regulations and legal load requirements.
• Oversee warehouse functions: receiving, PO reconciliation, inventory control, storage design, loading, and training staff.
• Ensure a safe, OSHA-compliant work environment for warehouse, yard, and vehicle operations.
• Lead loss control activities including fire, theft, and fleet safety.
• Maintain good housekeeping in the work area.
• Demonstrate commitment to safety, quality, environmental awareness, and continuous improvement.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the yard, warehouse, trucking, maintenance, and safety program functions.
• Manage the order fulfillment, "will call", and on-time delivery functions including product selection, loading, and transportation.
• Resolve problems regarding shipment or delivery of an order, and order backlog issues.
• Manage the transportation function including compliance with Department of Transportation regulations and legal load requirements.
• Manage the warehouse function including receipt of products from internal and external suppliers; reconciliation of purchase orders; inventory control and storage design; pulling and loading products for shipment; training, guiding and coaching the materials-handling personnel.
• Manage warehouse, equipment and vehicles, yard and grounds to ensure a safe, OSHA compliant work environment.
• Manage loss control activities including fire, theft, and fleet safety.
• Maintain good housekeeping in work area.
• Demonstrate strong commitment to safety, quality, environmental awareness, and continuous process improvement.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications: College Degree or equivalent work experience in related job function. Preferred Qualifications: Typically more than five (5) years of experience in related job function. May require professional certification.
