Job summary

PDM Constructors located in North Wales, PA is seeking a Millwork Estimator to perform quantity take-offs and develop cost estimates for projects. The role involves using On-screen Takeoff and Quick Bid, reviewing bids for specifications and pricing, and requesting vendor pricing in a timely manner.

The Millwork Estimator will price change orders, maintain client relationships, and collaborate with sales, PM, purchasing and production teams to pursue new opportunities and ensure accurate,

Qualifications

• Experience performing quantity take-offs using estimating software.
• Ability to review project bids for specifications, cost, material quality and related items.
• Strong communication with clients to support opportunities and ensure alignment with project goals.

Responsibilities

• Perform quantity take-offs with estimating software (On-screen Takeoff and Quick Bid).
• Review and analyze bids for project specifications, price, material quality, and other related items.
• Timely request vendor / specialty supplier pricing.
• Create and prepare cost estimates for projects.
• Accurately price change orders for on-going work.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, providing support where needed, and continually seek new opportunities with our customer base.
• Actively and professionally collaborate in cost estimating as part of sales, project management, purchasing and production prep.
• Follow up with open estimates until awarded.
• Discuss and resolve any questions with contractor prior to submission of final estimate.
