Job summary

405 Cabinets & Stone in Fountain Valley, CA seeks a detail-oriented Field/Production Coordinator for cabinetry projects. You will measure sites, review shop drawings, and ensure production aligns with design intent from start to finish.

The role requires CAD proficiency, strong communication, and the ability to travel across Southern California. With 3–5+ years in millwork or cabinetry, you will bridge design, workshop, and field teams, driving accuracy and timely installations.

Qualifications

At least 3 years of experience, ideally 5+, in custom cabinetry, architectural millwork, casework, or closely related manufacturing or construction detailing; shop or install experience preferred.
Proven field-measurement accuracy and fluency in reading shop drawings, floor plans, and elevations.
Clear, professional communication; able to flag design issues with designers and builders.
Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent hands-on millwork experience will be considered.
Proficiency in CAD, ERP/MRP systems, and Microsoft Excel; experience with cabinet software such as AutoCAD, 2020 Design, Cabinet Vision, Mozaik, or Microvellum is a plus.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel to jobsites across Southern California; Saturdays may be required.

Responsibilities

Capture precise field measurements and document site conditions including obstructions, utilities, and out-of-square walls.
Review layouts, shop drawings, and production documentation for accuracy and manufacturability against reality.
Resolve design conflicts, missing information, and constructability issues at the pre-production stage.
Engineer custom cabinetry solutions balancing design intent, manufacturability, and installation requirements; review material and hardware selections.
Hand off custom orders to the shop with clear technical briefings and be the go-to source for production questions.
Coordinate with warehouse and production teams to ensure installation crews have correct products, drawings, and installation details.
Visit worksites before, during, and after installation to verify accuracy and customer satisfaction.
Maintain audit-ready project files including measurements, photos, marked-up drawings, revisions, and sign-offs.
