Job summary

Woodweb in Charlotte, NC invites a Millwork Engineer to design, engineer, and support custom millwork, cabinetry, and metalwork projects, translating design intent into manufacturable shop drawings.

You'll collaborate with designers, project managers, and production teams; interpret drawings; select materials and finishes; resolve fabrication issues; and ensure compliance with codes and client specifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Wood Technology, or related field.
• 3+ years in millwork, cabinetry, or custom woodworking engineering.
• Proficient in CAD; AutoCAD required; SolidWorks/Inventor preferred.
• Ability to read architectural/interior drawings.
• Familiar with CNC machining and manufacturing workflows.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed shop, fabrication, and CNC-ready drawings.
• Interpret architectural drawings, specs, and design concepts.
• Engineer millwork components for manufacturability, structure, and cost.
