Job summary

Millworks By Design in Los Angeles is seeking a Millwork Engineer with deep experience in high-end residential or commercial millwork to produce accurate, buildable shop drawings and support projects from design intent through fabrication and installation.

You will interpret architectural drawings quickly, resolve conflicts early, and create engineering solutions that are practical for fabrication and field success. Collaboration across PM, engineering, and fabrication teams is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of millwork engineering experience.
• Proficiency in 2D AutoCAD.
• Experience with 3D AutoCAD is a plus.
• Strong reading of architectural/interior drawings.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple teams across projects.

Responsibilities

• Create accurate 2D CAD drawings for millwork.
• Prepare drawing packages for review and fabrication.
• Interpret drawings and translate design intent into buildable solutions.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineering Manager, and fabricators.
• Revise drawings with feedback and field measurements.
