Job summary

Herrman Lumber Company in Springfield, MO is seeking a dependable Class E Driver to deliver millwork, doors and windows to jobsites. The ideal candidate has at least one year of delivery driving experience and experience operating required equipment.

Responsibilities include loading trucks, operating forklifts, unloading at jobsites, maintaining vehicle safety, following PPE and safety protocols, and coordinating with customers and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar driving position.
• Experience with construction and equipment operation.
• Valid Class E driver's license with a clean driving record preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Load company trucks with materials and transport them to and from job sites.
• Operate forklifts to move materials within the warehouse and assist with load preparation.
• Unload products at job sites in a safe and efficient manner.
• Ensure vehicles remain in safe operating condition by reporting any mechanical issues immediately.
• Follow all safety protocols, including wearing PPE, adhering to speed limits, and maintaining safe distances from other vehicles.
• Interact professionally with customers and suppliers, ensuring accurate delivery of materials and addressing any concerns promptly.
• Assist with loading and unloading lumber, organizing materials in the yard, and performing other tasks as needed when not driving.
