Job summary

Ameriscan Designs seeks a skilled craftsman to craft and assemble high-quality millwork components on first shift (6:00am - 2:30pm). You will read blueprints, operate shapers, routers, and table saws, and finish surfaces to meet exacting standards.

Responsibilities include assembling cabinets and desks, organizing multiple projects, ensuring safety, and collaborating with designers and managers to deliver bespoke products on time.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; carpentry or related field preferred.
• Read and interpret architectural blueprints and shop drawings with precision.
• Extensive knowledge of woodworking tools and safe operation of equipment.
• Strong understanding of cabinet and furniture construction techniques, including gluing, veneering, staining and finishes.

Responsibilities

• Construct and assemble custom millwork components, including cabinets and desks, per blueprints and shop drawings.
• Operate woodworking tools and machinery safely and accurately.
• Prepare and finish surfaces with sanding, veneers, stains, and finishes.
• Interpret drawings to measure and cut materials to specs.
• Organize and manage multiple projects, ensuring timely completion and quality.
• Solve problems on the job site and adapt to changes.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment.
• Handle lumber safely, with ability to lift 10-50 lbs as needed.
• Collaborate with designers, project managers and other carpenters to meet goals.
• Provide design improvement and construction technique insights.
• All other duties as assigned.
