Job summary

Custom Millwork Designs in Oakwood Village, Ohio, seeks an Engineering/Drafting professional to create precise shop drawings and architectural details using Microvellum, BricsCAD, and AutoCAD.

You will read architectural drawings, specify cabinet construction methods, collaborate with engineers and fabricators, and help update drawings through project phases while adhering to AWI/QCP standards.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in CAD software with 3+ years of drafting experience.
• Experience creating millwork fabrication drawings & construction documentation.
• Strong understanding of woodworking design principles and drafting techniques.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed shop drawings and architectural designs using Microvellum, BricsCAD, and AutoCAD.
• Read and interpret architectural drawings and construction specifications.
• Understand cabinet construction methods, materials, hardware, and finishes.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, project managers, and fabricators to translate concepts into technical docs.
• Review and update existing drawings to reflect design changes through project phases.
• Ensure all drafting adheres to safety regulations and AWI/QCP standards.
• Provide detailed plans and technical guidance during project execution.
