Job summary

JK Concepts, Inc. in Denver seeks a dependable supervisor for its woodworking department. This full-time role runs Monday–Friday, 6:00am–2:30pm with overtime as needed, and pays $24–$28 per hour based on experience, plus PTO, holidays, medical, dental, and life insurance.

You will lead 4–8 employees, ensure projects meet plans, QC in the Machining Department, train staff on tools and techniques, and maintain a safe, efficient shop floor with strong communication.

Qualifications

• Experience operating woodworking machinery in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong knowledge of hand/power tools, safety and maintenance.
• Ability to lead, communicate and train a small team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure projects are built per plan and spec.
• QC products from Machining before building.
• Set department pace and expectations.
• Train staff on tools, machines and techniques.
• Ensure accurate time tracking in Innergy.
• Inspect finished products for quality before wrapping.
• Confirm 100% complete Work Orders go out.
• Maintain daily case count forms per Work Order.
• Maximize efficiency and productivity.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Job description

Full-time position, Monday – Friday 6:00am - 2:30 pm with overtime as needed, hourly pay $24.00 – $28.00 based on experience. Paid time off (PTO), paid holidays, medical, dental, and life insurance.

The right candidate needs to be dependable, hardworking, and have a good attitude. Responsible for directing 4 to 8 employees within the department while maximizing efficiency and productivity.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Ensure that projects are being built per plan and spec.
• QC product from the Machining Department prior to building.
• Set the pace and expectation for the department.
• Train personnel proper use of tools, machines, and proper techniques.
• Ensure that time tracking is accurate in Innergy.
• Inspect finished products for quality assurance prior to wrapping.
• Ensure that Work Orders are going out 100% complete.
• Daily case count forms per Work Order.
• Maximize efficiency and productivity.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Skills and Abilities:

• Competent in operating all woodworking machinery within your department.
• Strong knowledge of use, safety, and maintenance of power and hand tools
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Teamwork and problem solving.
• Excel at reading shop drawings.
• Focus on safe shop practices.

Requirements:

• Use of hand power tools up to 10 pounds.
• Lifting up to 50 pounds

• Standing 100% of the time while working.
