Job summary

Woodgrain is seeking an Assembler I in Taunton, MA to assemble millwork products, operate related machinery, and prepare items for shipment. You will inspect quality, repair defective units, and perform routine tool maintenance while following strict safety policies.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED with 1–2 years of related experience, basic math skills, and the ability to read and write clearly. Forklift certification may be required; good problem-solving ability is essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED and 1–2 years related experience or training.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos; write correspondence.
• Ability to perform basic math with weights, volume, and distance.
• Forklift certification may be required depending on branch.
• Ability to solve practical problems with variable situations and interpret instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assemble components of millwork products, including exterior and interior door units.
• Operate machinery that modifies the product (e.g., chop saws).
• Prepare products for shipment by applying casing, sleeves, labels, etc.
• Inspect quality and accuracy of assembled products throughout the process.
• Repair and disassemble returned or defective millwork for resale or stock prep.
• Perform routine maintenance on tools, cleaning, oiling, calibration, and reporting malfunctions.
• Work safely by following safety policy and training.
