Job summary

  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos; write correspondence.
  • Ability to perform basic math with weights, volume, and distance.
  • Forklift certification may be required depending on branch.
  • Ability to solve practical problems with variable situations and interpret instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble components of millwork products, including exterior and interior door units.
  • Operate machinery that modifies the product (e.g., chop saws).
  • Prepare products for shipment by applying casing, sleeves, labels, etc.
  • Inspect quality and accuracy of assembled products throughout the process.
  • Repair and disassemble returned or defective millwork for resale or stock prep.
  • Perform routine maintenance on tools, cleaning, oiling, calibration, and reporting malfunctions.
  • Work safely by following safety policy and training.
