Job summary

Miller Pipeline is seeking Traffic Control Flaggers to safely guide traffic through our work zones. Must be able to stand on your feet for long periods and work outside in varying weather conditions; overtime is available.

Discuss traffic routing plans with supervisors, distribute signs along the site, and direct vehicle movement using signs, hands, and flags. A DOT physical or ability to obtain one is required, along with a clean driving record and willingness to travel within the area.

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Discuss traffic routing plans, and type and location of control points with superior.
• Distribute traffic control signs and markers along the site in designated patterns.
• Direct movement of traffic through the site, using sign, hand, and flag signals.
• Warn construction workers when approaching vehicles fail to heed signals to prevent accidents and injury to workers.
• Inform drivers of detour routes through construction sites.
• Give hand markers to the last driver in line up of one-way traffic for Flagger at opposite end of site, signaling clearance for reverse flow of traffic.
