Job summary

Miller Pipeline is seeking Laborers to support gas distribution pipeline crews, performing repair, maintenance, construction, installation, and fusion of plastic pipe, and reconditioning of pipelines.

Responsibilities include lifting, soil work, asphalt tasks, operating hauling vehicles, and occasional travel within the service area. A clean driving record and DOT physical are required; familiarity with operator qualifications is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 2+ years’ experience may substitute education.
• 1 year of outdoor work or manual labor experience required.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Clean driving record and ability to obtain a DOT physical (reimbursed upon hire).
• Must pass computer-based testing, local Customer’s operator qualifications.

• Properly lift tools, objects and equipment of varying weight.
• Compress soil and asphalt.
• Shovel material, soil and cold patch asphalt mix.
• Operate vehicles used for hauling.
• Assist in the demolition, take-up and reconditioning of old pipe.
• Score and break asphalt or concrete with a jackhammer.
• Repair backfilled trench areas with grass seed or asphalt.
• Travel frequently within the area for work assignments.

Miller Pipeline is looking to add hardworking Laborers to work on our gas distribution pipeline crews. Duties include assisting in the repair, maintenance, construction, installation, and fusion of plastic pipe, and in the reconditioning of gas distribution pipelines.

• Clean driving record and a DOT physical or ability to obtain one upon employment (reimbursed upon hire).
• Must pass computer-based testing, specific to the local Customer’s operator qualifications.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1+ year gas construction experience.
• Class A CDL.
