Job summary

Miller Pipeline is seeking laborers to support gas distribution crews in repair, maintenance, and construction projects. Duties include handling pipe work, restoration, and site clean-up across field assignments.

Ideal candidates bring 1+ year of outdoor labor, a strong work ethic, teamwork, and the ability to pass operator qualification tests; a DOT physical is required or obtainable after hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 2+ years experience allowed in lieu of education.
• 1 year of outdoor work or manual labor experience required.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work in a team environment.
• Clean driving record and a DOT physical or ability to obtain one upon employment.
• Must pass computer-based testing for operator qualifications.
• 1+ year gas construction experience preferred.
• Class A CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Properly lift tools, objects and equipment of varying weight.
• Compress soil and asphalt.
• Shovel material, soil and cold patch asphalt mix.
• Operate vehicles used for hauling.
• Assist in the demolition, take-up and reconditioning of old pipe.
• Score and break asphalt or concrete with a jackhammer.
• Repair backfilled trench areas with grass seed or asphalt.
• Travel frequently within the area for work assignments.

Miller Pipeline is looking to add hardworking Laborers to work on our gas distribution pipeline crews. Duties include assisting in the repair, maintenance, construction, installation, and fusion of plastic pipe, and in the reconditioning of gas distribution pipelines.

Main Responsibilities:

• Properly lift tools, objects and equipment of varying weight.
• Compress soil and asphalt.

• Operate vehicles used for hauling.
• Assist in the demolition, take-up and reconditioning of old pipe.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent. 2+ years’ experience in lieu of education will be considered.
• 1 year of outdoor work or manual labor experience required.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Clean driving record and a DOT physical or ability to obtain one upon employment (reimbursed upon hire).
• Must pass computer-based testing, specific to the local Customer’s operator qualifications.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1+ year gas construction experience.
• Class A CDL.
