Job summary

Miller Pipeline Corp is seeking hard-working Laborers to join our gas distribution pipeline crews in Indiana. You will assist in repair, maintenance, construction, installation, and fusion of plastic pipe and reconditioning of gas pipelines.

Key duties include lifting heavy tools, soil compaction, shoveling, operating hauling vehicles, and assisting in demolition and trench work. Opportunities for growth exist within a team-driven environment guided by safety and quality values.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 2+ years’ experience considered in lieu of education.
• 1 year of outdoor work or manual labor required.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work effectively in a team.
• Clean driving record and a DOT physical or ability to obtain one upon employment.
• Must pass computer-based testing for local operator qualifications.
• Preferred: 1+ year gas construction experience; Class A CDL.

Responsibilities

• Properly lift tools, objects and equipment of varying weight.
• Compress soil and asphalt.
• Shovel material, soil and cold patch asphalt mix.
• Operate vehicles used for hauling.
• Assist in the demolition, take-up and reconditioning of old pipe.
• Score and break asphalt or concrete with a jackhammer.
• Repair backfilled trench areas with grass seed or asphalt.
• Travel frequently within the area for work assignments.

• High school diploma or equivalent. 2+ years’ experience in lieu of education will be considered.

• Clean driving record and a DOT physical or ability to obtain one upon employment (reimbursed upon hire).
• Must pass computer-based testing, specific to the local Customer’s operator qualifications.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1+ year gas construction experience.
• Class A CDL.
