Job summary

Steel Dynamics is seeking a maintenance technician for our Terre Haute, IN facility to troubleshoot, repair and maintain plant equipment. The role emphasizes preventative maintenance, rapid repairs, and safe operation.

You will be responsible for documentation of issues and ensuring minimal downtime. Strong reading comprehension of mechanical drawings and schematics is required, plus math skills for adjustments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Mechanical aptitude and basic electrical knowledge.
• Welding skills and ability to read schematics.
• Ability to read technical writing and perform math calculations.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic principles.
• Experience in alignment and power transmission.
• Proficient with hand and power tools.
• Fire and chemical hazard knowledge.
• Experience working on high bay overhead crane.
