Job summary

Edw. C. Levy Co. seeks a Supervisor to oversee day-to-day slag removal and steel mill services at our Columbia City Mill Services site in Columbia City, IN. You will focus on safe operations, equipment readiness, and supervising maintenance crews to meet production needs.

You will lead scheduling, coordinate with vendors and operations, and help drive continuous process improvements through KPI tracking and data analysis. A strong industrial background and clear communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years in industrial/construction with supervisory experience.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office.
• Ability to read financial data and communicate effectively in writing and speech.
• High school diploma or GED; valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Support safety and environmental initiatives including employee safety engagement; regulatory compliance and related training.
• Ensure equipment availability through scheduling of maintenance and repairs.
• Develop, coordinate, assign and schedule work for maintenance personnel.
• Coordinate teams to identify process improvements and document procedures.
• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and operations management.
• Assist Operations Manager in developing budgets and business plans.
• Review monthly budget to manage maintenance costs.
• Monitor product specifications for commercial and state applications.
• Manage maintenance procedures and costs for equipment and plant.
• Run KPI reports, analyze data and assist in data-driven decisions.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
