Mill River Unified Union School District seeks an After School Student Athlete Supervision Staff to provide supervision and programming for student athletes at Mill River Union High School. The role follows the practice schedule August–June, from 2:45 or last team departure, at a pay rate of $25.00 per hour.

Minimum age 18 with a high school diploma; prior experience with youth activities and required trainings including First Aid/CPR and fingerprinting are essential.

Job Description

POSITION TITLE: Mill River After School Student Athlete Supervision Staff

DATES & HOURS OF EMPLOYMENT: Following practice schedule; August- June, from 2:45 or last team departure.

PAY RATE: $25.00 per hour

LOCATION: Mill River Union High School

SUPERVISED BY: Athletics and Afterschool Directors

BASIC FUNCTION: To provide programming and supervision to student athletes

WORKS WITH: Students, and other school staff

Qualifications

• Minimum age of 18, and HS diploma.
• Previous experience in teaching, or planning and facilitating activities for groups of youth.
• Must successfully complete all state and district-mandated training and additional requirements prior to beginning employment, in accordance with all applicable rules and regulations.
• Current First Aid and CPR
• Must pass a criminal record check and complete fingerprinting requirements, in accordance with applicable rules and regulations.
• Must be able to work respectfully, collaboratively, and effectively with all other program staff.

Specific Responsibilities

• Provide student supervision and activity programming in accordance with the policies and philosophy of the Mill River School and Athletics Programs.
• Provide activities designed to enhance the healthy emotional social, intellectual, and physical development of youth.
• Help youth to become aware of their roles as integral members of a group.
• Supervise activities to ensure safety at all times.
• Maintain Mill River’s staff, program, and student guidelines and procedures..
• Support a professional, collaborative work team.
• Build healthy relationships with youth and other staff.
