Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan is seeking a maintenance professional for our Bagdad, Arizona operation. The role involves safe maintenance, installation, and repair of milling plant equipment including mills, conveyors, and screens, along with component replacement on conveyors, ball mills, and pumps.

Weld capabilities (Stick, TIG) are a plus, with focus on safety and work-order discipline.

Qualifications

• One (1) year of experience in mechanical/maintenance or a combination of education and experience in industrial mechanical repair and maintenance.
• Ability read and use schematics and blue prints
• Must have completed academic and competencies required ( Line of Progression requirements for internal employees ), and have experience demonstrating required mechanical aptitude. This exam is based on technical skills/abilities and/or academic knowledge; as well as safety.

Responsibilities

• Safely performs maintenance, installation, and repair of equipment and processes in the Milling plant including mills, conveyors, screens and like systems.
• Assist with and perform component replacement and repairs on, but not limited to: conveyor systems, ball mills, auto mills, screen decks, lube systems, filter drums, crushers, hydraulic filter presses, and foundry pumps
• Perform mechanical and lubrication preventative maintenance: identify potential failures/noises/wear on agitators, rotors, belts, pulleys, gear boxes
• May perform welding (Stick, TIG)
• Responsible for maintaining work orders, a clean and safe work area and performing work area inspections
• Perform other duties as required

What You Will Do

The estimated pay range for this role is currently$24.00 - $32.00/hour. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors.
