Job summary

Contech Engineered Solutions in Pinellas Park, FL is seeking a Mill Operator Trainee to support production of structural and drainage components. The role offers on-the-job training, overtime opportunities, and a path to skilled operator advancement.

You will learn to operate cranes and mill equipment, perform QA checks, and participate in preventative maintenance while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Hel-Cor Mill Certification to be completed within 1 year of hire.
• Forklift operation certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate overhead cranes, coil handlers or forklifts to move coil from storage to machine area.
• Thread in-coming coils through mill processes.
• Operate mill components using manual and automatic control on control panel.
• Butt welds and grinds strip ends manually.
• Performs and records QA check measurements as per Quality Manual.
• Performs equipment setup, routine mechanical maintenance, and repairs to mill equipment.

Job description

We are looking for a MILL OPERATOR TRAINEE to join our Pinellas Park plant. As a Mill Operator Trainee with Contech you will contribute to America’s essential infrastructure including drainage systems, pipe, bridges and structures, and stormwater management.

Responsibilities

About the Role

• Operates overhead cranes, coil handlers or forklifts to move coil from storage to machine area.

About You

We Require:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• The ability to complete & pass the Hel-Cor Mill Certification within 1-year of hire.
• Certification on forklift operation is preferred.
