Job summary

Contech in Conyers, GA is seeking a Mill Operator Trainee to contribute to infrastructure projects, including drainage systems, pipes, bridges and stormwater management. The role involves operating cranes and mill equipment, performing QA checks and setup/maintenance, with on-the-job training provided.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and may pursue Hel-Cor Mill Certification within 1 year of hire; forklift certification is a plus and overtime is available.

• Performs equipment setup, routine maintenance and repairs to mill equipment.

About the Role

Responsibilities:

• Operates overhead cranes, coil handlers or forklifts to move coil from storage to machine area.

• Performs and records all QA check measurements required by the Quality Manual on product being produced.
• Performs equipment setup, routine mechanical maintenance, and repairs to all mill process equipment.

About You

We Require:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• The ability to complete & pass the Hel-Cor Mill Certification within 1-year of hire.
• Certification on forklift operation is preferred.
