Job summary

Contech in Conyers, GA is seeking a Mill Operator Trainee to support the operation of the mill process. On-the-job training will prepare you for roles in material handling and production quality control.

Responsibilities include operating cranes and coil handling equipment, threading coils through mill processes, making mill adjustments, and performing QA measurements as per the Quality Manual. A high school diploma or GED is required, and Hel-Cor certification must be completed within 12 months

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• The ability to complete & pass the Hel-Cor Mill Certification within 1-year of hire.
• Certification on forklift operation is preferred.

• Threads in-coming coils through mill processes.
• Operates mill components using manual and automatic control on control panel.
• Butt welds and grinds strip ends manually.
• Performs and records all QA check measurements required by the Quality Manual on product being produced.
• Performs equipment setup, routine mechanical maintenance, and repairs to all mill process equipment.
