Job summary

Smurfit Westrock in Cowpens, SC is seeking a Production Shift operator to support safe, efficient mill operations across multiple production areas. You will learn seven of the mill's nine positions to help meet production goals and customer needs.

This full-time, onsite role requires a four-day on/four-day off rotation, weekend and holiday shifts, and overtime as needed. High school diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED.
• Flexible schedule for four 4-day on / 4-day off rotation, including weekends and holidays.
• Must be willing to work overtime during outages.
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a reliable flow of recycled fiber raw materials to production operations.
• Operate material handling and production equipment safely to maximize productivity.
• Manage OCC inventory and material movement using computerized systems.
• Optimize fiber quality by selecting appropriate OCC grades.
• Produce customer-ready paper rolls by operating Reel and Winder equipment.
• Support timely shipment of finished products through safe loading of orders.
• Maintain a safe, clean, organized work environment and follow procedures.
