Job summary

Commercial Metals LTD is seeking team-oriented workers to join our production teams at our Durant, OK facilities. You will participate in safety programs, communicate production needs, inspect equipment reports, perform routine maintenance, and help with furnace operations.

The role involves rotating shifts, potential overtime, heavy lifting up to 50 lbs, and working in an environment with temperature extremes and noise.

Qualifications

• Team player in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to work with exposure to extremes in temperature, dust, noise, and confined spaces.
• Must learn quickly and multitask.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Some overtime and rotating shifts may be required.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the CMC Safety Programs and uphold the CMC Safety Culture.
• Communicate production issues, concerns, and needs.
• Ensure equipment inspection reports are filled out each shift.
• Perform minor routine maintenance or repairs as needed.
• Maintain daily housekeeping in the work area.
• Understand start up, shutdown, and emergency procedures for the EAF and Caster.
• Assist with electrode exchanges.
• Assist in tapping heat from the furnace and alloy additions to de-oxidize heat.
• Visually inspect furnace for problems.
