Job summary

Knight Feed Lot in Lyons, KS is seeking a responsible Mill Operator to manage the mill operations, receive commodities, mix cattle feed, and maintain equipment. This role supports production through accurate records and safe, efficient handling of materials on site.

Responsibilities

• Review daily assignment.
• Assist in receiving commodities and determining moisture content.
• Closely watch roll corrugation to maintain flake quality and production output.
• Participate in all aspects of the feed milling operation.
• Prepare production records.
• Operate loader when transferring commodities for mixing rations.
• Operate dump truck when transferring high moisture corn.
• Maintain general housekeeping in and around the mill area.
• Perform and/or assist in preventative maintenance and repair of mill equipment.
• Comply with all OSHA Safety procedures, rules, and regulations.

Knight Feedlot is seeking a responsible and reliable Mill Operator for the feedyard located in Lyons, KS.

Summary:

Receive commodities into the Mill, mix ingredients for cattle feed, assist in upkeep of Mill facilities, operate equipment when transferring commodities, and perform general administrative duties.
