As our mill operator, you will maintain all grinding, flotation, thickening, and pressure filtration units to keep our production running and profitability high. You will work at a mine on a remote island about 18 miles outside of Juneau, Alaska. Safety is our top priority: you will inspect your workplace daily and perform safe, efficient job assignments, paperwork, and reports for production activity. To succeed, you must be able to maintain all process-related systems and equipment, including apron feeders, conveyors, and SAG, ball, and tower mills. Working independently is essential as we are on a remote island.

The Greens Creek Mine, located on Admiralty Island 18 miles south of Juneau, is an underground polymetallic mine operating since 1989, employing over 500 people. What You Can Expect

• Training first: MSHA training provided within the first 4 days, along with department-level safety training.
• Apply mechanical skills in operating heavy equipment such as loaders, bulldozers, and rockbreakers.
• Work on a remote island and live in a mining camp environment if based outside Juneau. Our mill department works 14 days on, 12.5 hours each day, followed by 14 days off.
• Perform work area inspections before starting each shift and prioritize tasks accordingly.
• Operate gravity separation, flotation equipment, thickeners, and pressure filters.
• Ensure safety through daily equipment and work area inspections.
