Job description

CNC Mill or Lathe Operator act

CNC Lathe Setup, 1st shift, flexible start time, rate of pay $24 - 30/hr depending on experience

CNC Mills Setup, 1st shift, flexible start time, rate of pay $24 - 30/hr depending on experience

CNC Lathe or Mills Setup 2nd shift, schedule 3p - 1a, Monday - Thursday, rate of pay $22 - 30/hr depending on experience

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Operate semi-automatic or automatic numerically controlled machine tools and/or CNC machining equipment to perform standard and repetitive sequences of operations where programs are proved and set ups are made by others. These operations employ recognized tooling and procedures where tolerances are close but not difficult to maintain

* Check work at specified points, use measuring instruments to inspect work

* Recognize and report machine malfunctions, tooling difficulties, etc.

* Under supervision, work procedures and products are subject to check and inspection

* General knowledge of tooling applications, blueprint reading, shop practices, basic training on numerically controlled machine tools or CNC machining equipment are a plus, but not required

* Clean and maintain work area, machines and tools

* Maintain the highest level of quality

* Must communicate changes accurately and effectively

* Other duties as assigned

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

* High school diploma

* Must be able to walk or stand on concrete for up to 4 hours at a time.

* Must be able to lift 50 pounds without assistance

* While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit; use hands to finger, feel or handle objects, tools or controls; and reach with hands or arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl

* Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and distance vision; color vision; peripheral vision; depth perception and the ability to focus
