Job summary

EGGER North America in Lexington, NC is seeking a Maintenance Technician to help keep our mill running at peak performance. Reporting to the Mechanical Supervisor, you will promptly address equipment breakdowns, perform follow-ups from the previous shift, and conduct routine shift rounds to support mill reliability.

This full-time role requires 3+ years of industrial mechanic experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work 9-hour shifts Mon-Thu with a 6-hour shift on Fridays,

Qualifications

• 3+ years industrial mechanic experience required.
• Experience with lubrication principles is an asset.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Respond to mill breakdowns promptly and coordinate with area operators.
• Investigate root causes and recommend long-term fixes.
• Develop and follow Preventive Maintenance plans.
• Lead troubleshooting and document maintenance in logs.
• Follow up on outstanding shift issues and enter work requests.
• Provide recommendations for continuous improvement of troubleshooting resources.
• Install, manufacture and calibrate equipment or machinery.
• Maintain lockout certifications as assigned.
