Responsibilities

• Manage multiple machines simultaneously
• Operate CNC machines proficiently
• Oversee setup and tool changes of CNC lathes and mills

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• At least 6 years of machine shop experience, including 5 years of CNC experience or as a journeyman machinist
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Experience working with small precision parts and tight tolerances
• Proficiency with basic inspection tools and techniques
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions; good understanding of shop math
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills

Equipment Used

• CNC lathe and/or mills

Physical Requirements

• Light work: exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds frequently; standing for 8+ hours per day
• Work conditions: exposure to noise, vibration, coolants, and oils
