Job summary

Freeport‑McMoRan’s Henderson mine and mill, located near Denver, seek an experienced Electrical/Instrumentation Technician to maintain, repair and optimize mill and processing systems on site. You will work with switchgear, PLC/SCADA elements, and perform preventive maintenance while enforcing safety standards.

Candidates should have 4 years of industrial electrical experience or an associate/technical certification with related work and knowledge of AutoCAD and SOPs.

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved electronics/electrical/instrumentation program or equivalent.
• Four years of industrial electrical/instrumentation repair and maintenance experience.
• Associate degree or trade certification with two years related experience.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD drawings/prints and SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Safely maintain, install, repair and troubleshoot electrical systems in the mill/processing site.
• Perform equipment analysis, advanced troubleshooting and process optimization.
• Work on switch gear, grounding, LOTOTO procedures and jumper forms.
• Perform preventative maintenance and calibrations on motors and instrumentation.
• Review and update SOPs and train other Electrical staff.
